Outdoor skating

You are also welcome to skate on outdoor ice. Our skating rinks are located behind the ice hall. You can change your skates on the benches next to the rink.

Please note that the outdoor rinks are free for all skaters to use and cannot be reserved.

Outdoor padel courts

Enjoy padel outdoors in Vierumäki’s high-quality courts. The padel courts are located between the Ice Arena and the Tennis and Padel Hall. 

Rackets and balls are available for rent at the Sportif shop located in the Tennis and Padel Hall.

Tennis courts

GreenSet surfaces are installed on our outdoor tennis hardcourts, and the side-runs and runbacks meet international competition requirements.

Our courts next to the Sports Hall:

• 5 GreenSet courses for beginners, families, juniors and players using sneakers.

• 4 clay courts with crushed brick surface for active and competitive players.

In addition, 13 artificial grass courts can be used by visitors in the cabin area.

Disc golf (course map)

The Vierumäki area features a family-friendly 7-hole disc golf course. The course is also accessible with a push chair. The course is approximately 1 kilometre long, and it starts at the Ice Arena.

Orienteering

Nearly 25 square kilometres of challenging and varied terrain surrounding Vierumäki have been mapped for orienteering. Maps with fixed control points can be purchased at the Sports Hall.

Sports field

In addition to the 400-metre running track, the sports field features a javelin throw runway and landing sector and a long jump area. The grassy area at the centre of the sports field is 101.5 x 71.5 metres in size. The grass is well-suited for football (96 x 67 m), aerobic exercise or outdoor games.

Beach volley courts

Our two soft sand beach volley courts are open throughout the summer. You will find the 8 x 16 m courts next to the Tennis and Padel Hall.

Sand pitch

The sand-surfaced training pitch behind Vierumäki Centre is suitable for Finnish baseball and a wide variety of yard games. The pitch dimensions are 100 x 70 m. Two thirds of the pitch are covered with artificial turf. In the winter, the uncovered third is used as an outdoor skating rink.

Ball games arena Jimi

The ball game arena Jimi at the end of the Athletic Field is an artificial turf pitch suitable for floorball, volleyball, basketball and football. The pitch dimensions are 13 x 26 m. The pitch is also well-suited for yard games for groups.

Artificial turf pitch

The heated artificial turf pitch in Vierumäki enables outdoor football almost all year round. The pitch dimensions are 105 x 68 m.
The pitch surface is top-quality FIFA 2 star-rated artificial turf which was renovated in September 2017.

The standard pitch is freely available to customers daily from 8:00 to 21:00 if there are no reservations. You can ask about pitch reservations at the Sports Hall booking service. The pitch will be open again from 1st of April 2023.
