Sport Institute of Finland (Suomen Urheiluopiston Kannatusosakeyhtiö)

The Sport Institute of Finland is a national sports training and education centre supported by the Ministry of Education and Culture. The core mission of the company is to develop and provide high-quality educational, coaching, and sports services both nationally and internationally.

Its activities include vocational education in the field of sports (initial vocational qualifications, further, and specialist vocational qualifications), courses in liberal adult education, camps and events, sports services, project activities, and sports development in cooperation with national sports federations and the Finnish Olympic Committee.

The focus sports at Vierumäki are ice hockey, figure skating, cheerleading, gymnastics, and tennis. The Sport Institute of Finland is an official training and coaching centre of the Finnish Olympic Committee.

The Sport Institute of Finland Support Corporation owns the student residence company Kiinteistö Oy Jytinä. The Sport Institute of Finland also rents additional accommodation and training facilities in the area for course use.

Vierumäen Infra is responsible for the technical infrastructure and services of the area. The company’s operations include the production and distribution of district heating and cooling, water supply, energy production, and the maintenance of properties and sports facilities. In addition, Vierumäki Infra Ltd provides ICT, property management, and facility services, ensuring the functionality and sustainable development of the area.
