You can pay the ski fee at the Urheiluhalli information desk, Cafe Kierre or Sportshop at Tennis- and Padel Hall. You will get the wristband from the same info desks. Track surveillance is carried out daily, our supervisors are happy to guide you if necessary.

The self-service ski waxing station is located at the Tennis Pavilion, next to the outdoor tennis courts, in front of Hotel Fennada. Tennis Pavilion is the log building. Self-service station doors are opened daily at 7:30 and closed in the evening.

The station has two double-sided waxing tables, i.e. a total of 4 waxing spaces, hot air guns and waxing irons. The waxing irons are only intended for applying glide wax!

If you require lubrication service, Sportshop Vierumäki will help you at the Tennis and Padel Hall. Ski maintenance for a small fee.

The artificial snow trail is an easy smooth track with only small ascents and descents.

Lighted trails can be identified on our skiing track map by the dotted line. The lights operate with a twilight switch until approximately midnight. The lighted trails around the golf course have a fairly flat profile.

Lake Mustalampi Trail (approx. 8 km) includes good high-speed descents and a couple of demanding climbs. Along Lake Mustalampi Trail, you will find Lake Sydänlampi campfire site for warming breaks.

Light Lynx Trail (Valo-Ilves, approx. 12.5 km each direction) is a trail maintained by Vierumäki. The trail runs in an enjoyably hilly terrain, and it is illuminated all the way. Towards Heinola, the trail is more downhill-oriented, whereas back towards the institute, skiers climb the same hills up. Along Light Lynx Trail, you will find Lake Ylä-Musteri hut and Lake Salijärvi campfire site for breaks by the fire.

Our customer promise to skiers

During the winter, Vierumäki ski tracks are groomed at least 4 times a week and always after snowfall. The network maintained includes lighted skiing trails, Lake Mustalampi circular trail and Light Lynx Trail (Valo-Ilves). The Light Lynx Trail is groomed at least 3 times a week and after snowfalls. The institute’s 7 km and 5 km trails are transferred to the cycling trail network. The 10 km trail is out of service. For safety reasons, pets are not allowed on the ski tracks.

The maintenance of cross-country skiing tracks is part of our winter sports services. Our illuminated trails range from three kilometres to the 25-kilometer-long Light Lynx Trail (Valo-Ilves). In the summer, the trails turn into beautiful, well-maintained nature trails for hiking and jogging.

The trails range from easy routes for the whole family to demanding routes with many climbs and descents. Around the sports field, you can ski on a flat surface. Due to our snow cannon system, skiing is enabled in Vierumäki much earlier than in the rest of Southern Finland in most winters.

Please note that movement on the golf course is forbidden in winter. 

When frozen, the snow packed under feet, snowshoes or skis causes major damage to grass (ice scorch, root decay, etc.). The effects may be visible long into the summer.
