SELL Student Games 2025
SELL Student Games 2025 in Vierumäki is a sports festival for university students.
The SELL Student Games, or Student Sports competitions, were launched in 1923 i Tartu, Estonia. Two years ago the competitions celebrated their 100th anniversary. During the World Wars the organisation of the competitions was somewhat suspended, but this year marks the 40th edition.
The SELL Games attract participants from around ten countries, but the responsibility for organizing the games lies alternately with the SELL countries - Finland, Estonia, Latvia or Lithuania. In 2025, Finland will be responsible for the organization and the venue will be the Sports Institute of Finland in Vierumäki. Vierumäki Sports Oy, Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences and the Finnish Student Sports Federation are responsible for the organization of the event in cooperation with the Finnish Sport Institute Vierumäki.
Choosing the sports was a bit of a challenge, as there are so many sports to choose from in Vierumäki. the sports in which in Vierumäki will compete on May 16th-18th, are now as follows: volleyball, badminton, judo, powerlifting, table tennis, chess, 3 vs. 3 basketball, floorball, soccer (women 7 vs. 7, men 11 vs. 11), athletics - running, beach volley, orienteering and padel. Most of the sports will also be students competitions, i.e. OSM competitions.

All activities will be organised in Vierumäki. Here is a link to the area map. We will update the exact venues as the competitions get closer. We carry out checks on the athlete's eligibility to participate in competitions. Please bring a certificate of student eligibility (electronic or paper) with you. A valid student card is enough.
Competitions and the rest of the programme will cost € 55/day. Once the confirmed competitions are known, we will send you a link to the online shop where you can pay the competition fees. The price for one day includes e.g. Fri-Sat, Friday dinner and Saturday lunch.

Prices are per person. Please note that the rooms are for 2-4 persons. You can also buy a single room, but then you will pay the price of double accommodation. To book a bed only, in the same room with a fellow guest, please contact myynti@vierumaki.fi

Participants Students who are officially registered for and pursuing a course of study at: university, or similar institute with the status as an institution of higher education recognised by the appropriate national authority of their country. Former students of the institutions mentioned above who obtained their academic degree or diploma in the year preceding the SELL Student Games. No age restrictions.
