Vierumäki SUP boarding experiences start on Lake Valkjärvi that provides a spectacular setting for the sport. Did you know that Lake Valkjärvi is a kettle hole that was formed by a gigantic block of ice age ice that melted on the spot?
The unique body of water delights visitors from geographers to holidaymakers looking for clear waters. In addition to its geological value, Lake Valkjärvi is a natural treasure that glimmers in shades of emerald green in the summer. Its clear water comes from numerous underwater springs.
From Lake Valkjärvi you can continue the adventure to Lake Suurijärvi by crossing a narrow isthmus.

The rental service will be back in business during Spring 2025.
The rental price for a SUP board is €21 / h (additional hours € 10) and for a canoe €27 / h (additional hours €10).
SUP boarding
SUP boarding, or stand-up paddling, is one of the absolute favourites among Vierumäki’s summer sports!
SUP boarding in the warmth of summer is a dream come true for many holidaymakers. Take it easy lying down on the board or take a refreshing dip in the lake – sometimes accidentally! When paddling in an upright position, you develop both balance and core muscles. So when SUP boarding, you can also get a nice workout if that’s what you’re after.
