Floorball
Vierumäki provides excellent training and playing conditions for floorball.
Vierumäki offers excellent conditions for training, games and tournaments, both for professionals and amateurs. The area has three full-size or nine smaller fields, allowing for a wide variety of camps and tournaments.
The Vierumäki Arena has two full-size rinks with Pulastic platform and facilities for rent for training. The sports hall has a SSBL and IFF-approved Taraflex platform and can be used with one full-size or three small courts. There is also an outdoor sand court (13m x 26m) for playing floorball.
The 2025–2026 season of the Floorball Academy has been kicked off. Since 2016, approximately 100 players have taken part in the Academy each season. The players of the first couple of years have already risen to the league and first-division levels in their own clubs.
The Vierumäki Floorball Academy takes the goal-oriented training of young people a step further and offers them tools for reaching the top. We have been praised for our pedagogical approach, which supports sports training and also everything that happens in the athletes’ lives outside the rink. Already at a young age, we learn to take responsibility for growing into professional athletes and training for the sport.
The top players will give young people personal tips and support for developing in the sport. The coaches of the teams are coached by coaching mentors.
The Vierumäki Floorball Academy is meant for U16 and younger junior floorball teams, girls and boys as well as coaches, aiming for a career in sports. Application for the Academy is done as a team, even though we principally focus on developing individuals. During the season, there are three camps organized on weekdays, Monday-Wednesday. The price with accommodation is €180/person/camp. Camp dates for the 2024-2025 season:
Camp 1/3: 18h.-20th August 2025 Camp 2/3: 14th-19th November 2025 Camp 3/3: 26th-28th January 2026 The Floorball Academy supports goal-oriented sports and helps players develop both inside and outside the rink. We use our highly praised pedagogical approach when coaching the Academy teams in sports and physical training, psychological coaching, athlete testing, nutrition and the development of personal game skills.
Our goal is to support the clubs’ players and coaches in continuous holistic development and to share our knowledge of the requirements of being a top athlete.

There will be a great opportunity for youngsters to be mentored by a top coach in the coming season at Vierumäki Floorball Academy. The Vierumäki Floorball Academy is proud to announce that respected floorball coach Janne Kainulainen will be the Academy's new mentor for the 2024-2025 season. His solid experience in coaching at various levels and his commitment to the development of floorball makes him a valuable and unique addition to the Vierumäki Floorball Academy coaching team.
Vierumäen salibandyakatemia saa riveihinsä kaksi uutta mentoria, Joona Rantalan ja Mikko Laakson, jotka ovat tunnettuja Nokian Krp:n hyökkääjinä ja salibandyn maajoukkueen tehopyssyinä. He ovat myös tämän kauden Suomen Cupin voittajia. Nuorille pelaajille ja myös valmentajille on tarjolla ainutlaatuinen tilaisuus oppia huippupelaajilta ja kehittää omia taitojaan sekä kentällä että sen ulkopuolella.
Good physical performance is an essential part of every ball sport and enables skilful performance even in the final moments of the match. To track progress, the training programme of every athlete should include the testing of physical performance at regular intervals.
